Indonesian National Team Against Burundi On FIFA Matchday 25 And March 28

JAKARTA The Indonesian national team is certain to face Burundi in the FIFA Match Day match which will take place in the last two weeks of March.

PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir has confirmed the match. The African continent nation will play twice on March 25 and 28.

"After waiting until tonight, PSSI finally decided that the Indonesian national team would fight Burundi and they were ready to come to Indonesia," said Erick Thohir as quoted by the PSSI website.

Burundi currently occupies the position of 141 in the main ranking of international football or FIFA, while Indonesia is ten places behind the country. Victory automatically raised Indonesia's position.

Erick said that the next FIFA Match Day match this year took place in June and November and he promised to prepare for it more carefully.

"We agreed to schedule a trial agenda for the Indonesian national team in June and November PSSI to start negotiations with potential opponent countries. In the future everything has been prepared for a long time," he said.

"PSSI encourages the preparation of a trial schedule for the FIFA Matchday to be neat until next year," added the figure who is also the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

In the last edition of FIFA Match Day 2022, Indonesia won twice against Curacao with a score of 3-2 on September 24 and 2-1 three days later.
