LOC FIBA Indonesia Opens Volunteer Registration For 2023 World Cup

JAKARTA - The Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Basketball World Cup or FIBA World Cup 2023 Indonesia launched a volunteer recruitment program to find volunteers who helped the success of the event which rolled out on August 25 to September 3. As is known, Indonesia hosted the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup with Japan and the Philippines. Chairman of the LOC FIBA World Cup 2023 Indonesia Budisatrio Djiwandono said volunteers would be tasked with assisting the organizing committee team in functional areas in stadiums, training venues, airports, hotels, and others for the smooth running of the biggest FIBA event which was first held in the country. The selected vouchers will contribute greatly to the success of the event that rolled in Jakarta. Because, they will be involved starting from picking up and welcoming participants since arriving at the airport, helping to meet their needs throughout the tournament, to delivering back to the airport for their return. "For that, I invite all Indonesian citizens, especially the younger generation, to take part in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Volunteer program. The program is free of charge. For those selected, you will certainly get valuable experiences once in a lifetime to be part of this major event of world basketball," Budisatrio said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Saturday, 11 March. To follow the recruitment of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Volunteers, registrants must be Indonesian citizens, aged at least 18 years and living in Indonesia. Applicants will also follow the interview session. Those selected will be announced on June 12.
