U-20 World Cup: Erick Thohir Invites The Indonesian National Team Squad To Dare To Dream Of Muduk

JAKARTA - PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir said that the 2023 U-20 World Cup which will be held in Indonesia must be a moment of revival of national football. He also hopes that the U-20 Indonesian national team can excel in the event later.

Unmitigated, Erick hopes that the Garuda Nusantara squad can penetrate the round of 16.

"The implementation of the U-20 World Cup championship coincides with the formation of a new PSSI management, so it is appropriate if it is used as a moment of revival. This includes the revival of the achievements of the national team, which we all hope can qualify for the last 16," Erick explained on the official PSSI website.

Erick assessed that Shin Tae-yong's team's opportunity to get through the group stage was very open. However, it can be realized if all the national team players and the coaching squad have confidence that they will qualify.

"Let us pass the group, meaning that our football can rise. So I ask for full support for PSSI, not only in terms of organizing, but also support for the national team for the name of the Indonesian nation," he said, quoted by Antara.

The Minister of SOEs hopes that support from supporters can be an "additional breath" for Muhammad Ferrari and his friends. He hopes that fans will not ridicule the national team when they lose, but continue to provide support for higher achievements.

The 2023 U-20 World Cup will be held starting May 20. There are six stadiums in Indonesia that will be the venue for the match.

It is not yet known who is against the U-20 Indonesian national team. The draw for the new group will be held on April 2.
