The riots of supporters took place outside the Jatidiri Stadium when PSIS Semarang met Persis Solo in Liga 1, Friday, February 17, yesterday. This incident became public attention.

In that incident, PSIS supporters clashed with security forces who prevented them from entering the stadium. The reason is, in accordance with the agreement of a number of parties, the PSIS versus Persis match was held without spectators.

PSIS CEO, AS Sukawijaya, apologized for the clash between supporters of the Central Java capital and the police in front of the Jatidiri Stadium.

"I apologize to the people of Semarang City who were disturbed by yesterday's incident," said the man who is familiarly called Yoyok Sukawi, as reported by Antara, Saturday, February 18.

According to him, the situation outside the stadium during the PSIS match against Persis Solo had heated up, but slowly became conducive.

He expressed his gratitude to the police and the representatives of supporters who had helped calm the supporters of PSIS Semarang who forced their way in.

PSIS management, he continued, will conduct an evaluation so that similar incidents do not happen again. He hopes that the positive image of Semarang City as a peaceful city and has no enemies will be maintained.

"Together to protect the city of Semarang, together to maintain the good name of PSIS," he said.

Previously, chaos between PSIS Semarang supporters and police personnel took place in front of the Jatidiri Stadium in Semarang during the match against Persis Solo. PSIS supporters were desperate to come to the stadium even though the match was held without spectators.

The PSIS match against Persis itself ended with a score of 1-1.
