Isatrakan Pemilihan Ketum PSSI Seperti Piala Dunia, Arif Wicaksono: Nothing Is Impossible

JAKARTA - Arif Putra Wicaksono has great optimism in his efforts to nominate himself as Chairman (Ketum) of PSSI for the period 2023-2027. Even though in the current situation, his name is flanked by two strong candidates, namely Erick Thohir and La Nyalla Mattalitti.

In the nomination of the PSSI Ketum for the period 2023-2027, there are five names that will compete. Apart from Arif, there are the names Erick Thohir, LaNyalla Mattalitti, Doni Setiabudi, Erick Thohir and Fary Djemy Francis.

Erick Thohir, who serves as Minister of SOEs, is the name that is predicted to have a lot of support to win. He is believed to be competing with LaNyalla, who currently occupies the chair of the Regional Representative Council (DPD).

Realizing that the two rivals were the favored figures, Arif Wicaksono was not discouraged. The CEO of Nine Sport Inc believes he still has a chance to win.

"The opportunity (to become the chairman of PSSI) must be there, whatever it is, we must see nothing is impossible. So I see that currently there is still an opportunity," said Arif Wicaksono excited when met exclusively by the Voi team in the South Jakarta area, Friday, February 10 morning WIB.

The man who was born in Jakarta is also very confident when he is mentioned about winning chances. "I won! Opportunity among the two big names? You have to!" said Arif Wicaksono excitedly.

"From the start I saw a small chance, but even though 0.1 or 1 percent of it all had to be carried out optimally," he continued.

Arif Wicaksono then made an analogy of his confidence to run as chairman of PSSI for the 2023/2027 period like a football team at the World Cup.

"For example, the football team at the World Cup, it's impossible for them to think 'ah lose'. If the mentality is like that, it's better not to try," he explained.

As previously reported, the 2023-2027 period is not the first time for Arif Wicaksono to try his luck to become the chairman of PSSI. Because this is the third time he has tried it after two periods in 2016 and 2019, but failed.
