Ketok Palu! Erick Thohir And LaNyalla Are Official Candidates For Permanent Chairman Of PSSI

Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir and Chairman of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD) LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti officially became permanent candidates for PSSI general chairman for the period 2023-2027.

The two names are included in the list of candidates for permanent chairman, deputy chairman, and members of the executive committee (Exco) announced by the Election Committee (KP) and the Electoral Appeal Committee (KBP) at the PSSI Office at GBK Arena, Senayan, Monday, February 6, 2023.

The list of permanent candidates is contained in the decision letter (SK) 001-KP-KBP PSSI/II/2023 concerning Announcement of the Permanent Candidate List for Candidates for General Chair, Candidates for Deputy General Chair, and Candidates for Members of the Executive Committee.

"According to the appeal results, there is a shift in the number of contestants. The administrative stage has been completed, it's just an election," said KP Chairman Amir Burhannudin at a press conference.

Apart from Erick and LaNyalla, three other names also qualified as permanent candidates for the general chairman, namely Arief Putra Wicaksono, Doni Setiabudi, and Fary Djemi Francis. The five of them will fight at the extraordinary congress (KLB) on February 16.

Then the two names of candidates for executive committee members who were previously declared not to have passed the announcement of the interim candidate on January 31, 2023 and allowed to appeal, were also declared to pass to permanent candidates. Both names are Sinung Widakdo and Mirza Rinaldi.

The appeal of the two names was included in SK 001 KBP-PSSI/II/2023 concerning Announcement of the Prospective Banding List of PSSI Executive Committee Candidates for the period 2023 to 2027. Thus, there were a total of 55 permanent candidates for Exco. Meanwhile, in the position of permanent deputy chairman, there were no changes, namely still 16 people.

"This decree will take effect from the date of stipulation. If there is a negligence in the future, it will be corrected properly," said Gusti Randa as Chairman of the KBP

In the next election, a total of 87 voters or voting rights owners will determine the executive committee for the next four years. The election of the chairman, vice chairman, and executive committee members will be carried out separately.

To be able to get seats in PSSI's body, all contestants must at least get 50 percent +1 of the votes from the voters or around 45 votes if 87 voters are all present at the congress later.
