100 Simultaneous Flag-off City In Pocari Run 2023

JAKARTA - The tenth year of the Sweat Run Pocari will carry a different theme from before. In 2023, the organizers will involve 100 cities in the country in the flag-off process simultaneously.

The Sweat Run 2023 Pocari will actually make the city of Bandung the main location for the marathon on July 30. However, this year, Pocari Sweat ensures that it will carry out flag-offs in 100 different cities along with Bandung.

This is done with the aim that virtual runners can feel the same atmosphere as offline participants in Bandung, as stated by the Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, Puspita Winawati "This year we are working with communities in 100 cities. Later in 100 cities there will be offline meetings," said Puspita Winawati during a press conference in the Senayan area, Jakarta on Sunday, January 5 morning WIB.

"And from Bandung there is a flag-off, but in 100 other cities there will also be a flag-off simultaneously so that runners who participate virtually can also feel the ambience together," continued Wina.

In organizing this year, the Sweat Run 2023 Working Committee will still implement three categories of offline competitions.

The three categories are Marathon with a minimum age of 18 years, Half Marathon with a minimum age of 17 years and 10K with a minimum age of 15 years.

However, something different can actually be seen in the virtual category where in the future there will be two additional categories, namely 3k and 5k for children and families in order to reach a wider participant.

"Because we want to invite more virtual ones and include newbie, or new runners. Or maybe runners who want to run with their children," said Wina explaining.

The innovations implemented this year apparently succeeded in attracting the attention of runners. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the online registration process, where 11 thousand tickets to the 2023 Sweat Run Pocari were successfully sold in just 56 minutes.

"This year 11 thousand (tickets) are out in 56 minutes," explained Ridwan Kamil, the Governor of West Java as the location for the event when attending the press conference location. For offline participants in the 2023 Sweat Run Indonesia Pocari race, the Race Pack can be picked up during the Race Pack Collection which takes place in Bandung on 28-29 July 2023.
