Menpora The District Of The Incident Of The Persis Solo Player Bus Attack: Don't Stop The Competition, We Search The Perturbation!

JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali spoke about the disgraceful actions carried out by Persita Tangerang supporters, Saturday, January 28 yesterday. He strongly criticized the action and asked the authorities to take firm action against the perpetrators.

As is known, Persita supporters were caught attacking the bus that Persis Solo players were traveling in. They threw the bus with stones, causing the bus glass to burst and one official from Persis was slightly injured.

This incident had led to speculation that there would be severe punishment imposed on Persita, namely the revocation of the permit. However, according to the Menpora, it should not be the club that receives the punishment.

"Oh no (revocation of permission), it's precisely what disturbs us that we (the security forces to) pursue. Don't sacrifice the club, you know," said the Minister of Youth and Sports when met in Senayan, Monday, January 30 afternoon.

The Minister of Youth and Sports emphasized that incidents like this should not happen. However, with the incident of throwing buses experienced by Persis Solo players and officials, the Minister of Youth and Sports asked the security forces to take firm action against the perpetrators so as not to harm the club.

"Not because there are people who interfere, then we stop the competition. We can't disturb them. We are looking for them, we will punish them," said the Menpora again.

"We support the police's steps in enforcing the rules, according to the rules so that anyone who intends to make a riot is handled by the existing legal rules," he continued.

So far the security forces have moved quickly and secured seven people who have been named suspects.
