When The Intention To Learn Liu/Zhang Ends With A 2023 Indonesia Masters Title

JAKARTA - The Chinese women's doubles, Liu Sheng Shu/Zhang Shu Xian, made a surprise. They won the Indonesia Masters 2023, Sunday, January 29.

Liu/Zhang became the best after defeating the Japanese pair, Yuki Fukushima/Sayaka Hirota, with a score of 22-20, 21-19. In fact, the opponent who is actually superior.

Actually, it's not only the public that badminton lovers are surprised by this result. The Chinese couple did not expect to achieve this achievement at Istora Senayan.

"We didn't expect to be champions after being paired for the first time," Zhang said after the match, as reported by the official PBSI website.

"Our intention here at first was only to learn from our seniors here and still didn't expect to win to win," he continued.

Amazingly, their success in winning the Indonesia Masters 2023 was passed by a sensational manner. Liu/Zhang beat several famous pairs to reach the final.

Starting from Namibia Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida (Japan) to representatives of Thailand, Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai.

However, Liu/Zhang did not want to be happy and wanted to play even better in the future.

"We are young, we don't want to think too far and in every tournament we only focus on every game," added Liu.
