JAKARTA - A beautiful tennis player from Belarus, Aryna Sabalenka, has succeeded in making an extraordinary career breakthrough by qualifying for the final round of the Australian Open 2023. However, behind the success he is currently achieving, there is a surprising fact.

Apparently, Sabalenka in the past year has been pursuing a career with psychological supervision. However, the tennis player now admits that he can control himself.

Sabalenka has become a psychologist for himself. "I have released my psychologist and can rely on myself," Sabalenkan was quoted as saying by Livescore.com on Friday, January 27.

Sabalenka has gone through the lowest one year of his career. He struggled to get back on the pitch after trying to improve the quality of his game.

After three defeats in the semifinals of the grand slam, he was finally able to pick up his first win by beating Magda Linette 7-6 (7-1) 6-2 in the second semifinal on Thursday, January 26, local time. Sabalenka will then prepare to challenge Elena Rybakina on Saturday.

To be in this position, it turns out that Sabalenka is not struggling alone. He even has to consult a psychologist to continue to take care of his mentality.

However, over time, he felt he had found potential in him. Sabalenka then understood that no one could handle herself better than herself.

"To be honest, I decided to stop working with a psychologist. I realized that no one other than me would help, you know?" Sabalenka said.

"In pre-season I spoke to my psychologist and said, 'Listen, I feel like I have to deal with it myself', because every time I hope someone will fix my problem, it doesn't fix my problem."

"I just have to take this responsibility and I have to deal with it. I no longer work with psychologists. I am my personal psychologist," he explained.

Sabalenka's decision to meet a psychologist has so far shown good results. He has even performed perfectly through his first 10 games this year, won an Adelaide International title and advanced through a grand slam round in Melbourne.

Sabalenka has not even lost a set this year. The fifth seed was only one step away from winning the title of the first grand slam single.
