Anthony Ginting Qualified To The Semifinals Of The India Open 2023 For Playing Like In A Self-Dang

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's singles badminton player, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, successfully advanced to the semifinals of the India Open 2023. This result was achieved after overthrowing Chinese representative, Li Shi Feng.

Appearing at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Friday, January 20 afternoon WIB, Ginting ended Li Shi Feng's resistance within 65 minutes. He closed the fight against representatives of the Bamboo Curtain Country with a score of 21-11, 17-21, and 21-18.

Ginting certainly feels happy and relieved by this result. He said this victory was achieved because he enjoyed playing, just like at home.

"I am happy with this victory, even though I have to fight three games. I tried hard to beat Li (Shi Feng)," Ginting said after the match, quoted from PBSI.

"I'm like playing at home with the support of the audience here. I'm very happy with the support of the audience for me. I feel happy in India," he continued.

Even though he passed three games that were not easy, Ginting was grateful. Moreover, he was able to end the match without having to be injured.

Because good body condition will greatly affect his performance in the semifinals. In the last four, Ginting will face Kunlavut Vitidsarn, Thailand's representative who is ranked 8th.

"In the semifinals tomorrow, I still have a task that is no less important. I must always be focused because the match will be tighter," said Ginting.

"Hopefully his performance will be better than today. I will also learn how the opponent's game is through video recordings and discussions with the coach. I will take advantage of the recovery first tonight," Ginting concluded.
