JAKARTA - The Monster Energy Yamaha team has released their new team and motorcycle display for the 2023 MotoGP season. The launch took place in Jakarta on Tuesday, January 17 at noon WIB.
During the launch at StRegis, South Jakarta, there were also two Yamaha riders, abio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli.
Through its official website and social media accounts, Yamaha shows a new look for the more modern YZR-M1 motorbike. Despite carrying a typical blue color, there is another color that has become a new touch on the Quartararo and Morbidelli motorcycles.
"The updated Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP YZR-M1 color scheme for 2023. The new camouflage display combines Yamaha's dominant color with additional gray. This color carries the theme of Monster Energy's adventurer life," Yamaha wrote on their official website.
"The iconic Monster clawbanding can still be recognized instantly on the bike, on the logo of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team, and on the team uniform," the statement continued.
Previously, YZR-M1 was claimed to appear with performance improvements that were far from the previous version. In addition, YZR-M1 is also claimed to be paving as a motorcycle with a much better speed.
"The motorbike will be the fastest at the end of the line and will be more competitive, because Fabio (Quarantaro) will not be easy to pass and maybe will be able to overtake other riders," said Yamaha rider test Cal Crutchlow.
Meanwhile, Quartararo welcomed the team's launch for the 2023 season with enthusiasm. Although he was injured during motocross practice which injured his hand, Quartararo made sure his condition was fit.
"My winter holiday didn't go fully as planned because my hands were injured during motocross training. But I keep working non-stop. I've done a lot of cardio to make sure I'm fit for the 2023 season," Quartararo said on Yamaha's official website.
"My hand injury has also fully recovered, so I feel ready to fight for another title," he explained.
