JAKARTA Former Secretary General of PSSI, Ratu Tisha Destria officially ran for Deputy Chairperson of the national football parent for the 2023/2027 term.

Thish returned the nomination form file to the PSSI office at the GBK Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, January 15, 2023. The support of the voters and their love for the world of football made him want to return and enter the PSSI scope.

"Today I gave a form of availability to become the Deputy General Chairperson of PSSI. Next, please support," he told the media crew after submitting the form to the PSSI secretariat.

Queen Tisha has been very familiar in the world of football since becoming Secretary General of PSSI from July 2017 to April 2020. She got this position after previously she was in the position of Director of Competition and Operations of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB).

Apart from having occupied the two important roles, Thish was also noted to have served as Vice President of the AFF. She was the first woman to occupy the position.

Thasha ran for office as Deputy General Chairperson of PSSI supported by six voting rights owners (voters). The six voters are the Banten Provincial Association (Asprov), Asprov Maluku, Asprov Perserang Serang, PSIM Yogyakarta, Persekat Tegal, and North Sulawesi United.

"Football is something I have been working on for 20 years. For me, football is devotion. I cannot vary the reason why I love something," said the 37-year-old figure.

Before Tisha, SOE Minister Erick Thohir had already turned over the candidate form for General Chair on the same day. This 52-year-old businessman is supported by 60 voters.

Erick is the second person to officially run for PSSI General Chair. Previously, the Chairman of the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD) AA Lanyalla Mahmud Mattalitti had already returned the form on Friday, January 13.

PSSI will hold an Ordinary Congress (KB) this afternoon at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta. This activity was originally scheduled to take place on January 7, but the direction of the parent international football (FIFA) made the agenda postponed.

Meanwhile, the agenda for the election of the General Chair, Deputy General Chair, and members of the Executive Committee will be held at the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB) which will take place on February 16.
