JAKARTA - Gareth Bale has decided to retire from the world of football that made his name on Monday, January 9. After hanging up his boots, Bale is expected to remain an athlete.

He is likely to try expensive sports, namely golf. That was after the former captain of the Wales national team was targeted by Legend Tour.

Legend Tour is the organizer of a golf tournament that also runs the Celebrity Series. This is very popular next to their main tournament.

Bale reportedly received a warm welcome at European golf courses. Sports legends such as Gianfranco Zola, Robbie Fowler, Andrew total and Damon Hill will accept with open arms to compete with Bale.

Organizers will also offer Bale the opportunity to play alongside famous golfers, including Academy Cup captain Colin Montgomerie, Paul McGinley, Ian Woosnam and Thomas Bjorn.

Keith Mitchell as chief marketing officer of Legends Tour said the 33-year-old did have talent in the world of golf.

"Everyone knows Gareth's (Bale's) incredible desire for golf, and if he wants to get involved in the Celebrity Series, we will welcome him with open arms," Keith said as quoted by The Sun on Dictionary, January 12.

"He has hosted open Wales for the past two years so he is so well known to us, and there is clear enough speculation that he wants to see how far he can go in the game," he continued.

Keith then added, "We have a list of about the 50-60 celebrities we invited, and we will definitely find out if Gareth (Bale) is interested in taking part this year," Keith said.

The Celebrity Series itself is played at Mauritius or Seychelles which consists of four events. The top ten players will qualify for the final and compete for a prize of 100 thousand pounds (Rp1.8 billion) which will later be donated to the winner-choice charity.
