In the Proliga 2023 competition, the video challenge will begin to be used in the final four phase to the grand final. That period will be a trial period for the operation of advanced technologies that can help the referee.
"We will try this first in the final four to the grand final. In the future, all matches from the regular round will use this technology," he said.
Regarding the timing of using video challenge in the final four to the grand final, Hanny explained why the system was not used from the start of the competition.
"Indeed, we just tried it in the final four and the grand final because we can only do the time. But we are also ordering so we can have our own," he said.
"We bring the tool from an international federation, as well as we hire officers who can operate it, we bring everything here (Indonesia)," explained Hanny.
For the Proliga 2023 competition, there will be eight men's teams and six women's teams that will compete. Held in eight cities in Indonesia, the competition will start at GOR Jalak Harupat Bandung and ends in Yogyakarta.
