Duets Bagnaia And Bastianini Make Ducati Like Have 2 Strikers In The 2023 Season

JAKARTA - The Ducati Lenovo factory team will be strengthened by the duet of Enea Bastianini and Francesco Bagnaia in navigating the 2023 MotoGP season. The presence of the two names is believed to make Ducati appear successful like having two deadly strikers.

This was revealed by Ducati's manager, Davide Tardozzi. He likened his two subordinates to two strikers who are ready to score many points for the Borgo Panigale factory team.

Tardozzi also believes the duet between Bagnaia and Bastianini will make them a very strong duet, especially since the two have also known each other since a young age.

"With Pecco (Bagnaia) and Enea (Bastianini) we are strong, very strong. I think everyone wants like us who seem to have two strikers," said Tardozzi as quoted by GP One on Tuesday, December 20.

Bagnaia's nickname Pecco will start to become Bastianini's tandem in the Ducati factory team starting MotoGP 2023. Both will ride the Desmosedici GP which is the fastest motorcycle in the main class today.

With qualified rides and riders who have achievements, you could say Ducati Lenovo has a solid team in MotoGP.

The reason is, Pecco is the 2022 MotoGP champion. The 25-year-old racer appeared very tough in the second half of last season by turning 91 points behind Fabio Quartararo.

Meanwhile, The Beast, known as Bastianini, managed to secure third place in the final standings of MotoGP 2022. With the composition of the two top three riders last season, Ducati Lenovo is clearly predicted to return to dominate in the world's most elite motorcycle racing competition next year.

"The world champion is definitely a favorite. But Enea has shown that she is ready for the job," he added.

"I'm sure they will collaborate. They have known each other since childhood, since they were still riding mini bikes. We believe we can control the situation between them because we have two smart riders, not just strong," he said.
