Cool! Sean Gelael Will Work Together Valentino Rossi

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer Sean Gelael had an extraordinary opportunity. He will work with MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi.

Sean and Rossi will be in the same team, namely the BMW M Team WRT #46. Both will share cars in the face of the 24H race, in Dubai Autodrome, United Arab Emirates on January 13-15, 2023.

They were accompanied by three other riders, Maxime Martin (Belgium), Whale Team (England), and one name determined later. The five of them carried a BMW M4 GT3.

Actually, Sean and Rossi were included in the Team WRT extended family throughout 2022. However, they never worked together in one team because they competed in different championships.

Sean joined the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and became the runners-up in the LMP2 class world, while Rossi at the GT World Challenge Europe. Sean, who is under the auspices of the Jagonya Ayam Team, said he was enthusiastic. He wanted to immediately ride a GT3, because he had liked BMW since childhood.

"Moreover, I am very happy to be able to race with names like Valentino Rossi and Maxime Martin. I am sure, with the composition of this impressive racer, we can achieve good results," said a written statement in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Saturday, December 17.

24H Dubai is a regional car resistance race in the Middle East that has been held since 2006, and in 2015 it used a 24-hour format. The main class contested is GT3 and Sean, Rossi, with BMW M Team WRT #46 taking part. GT3 class is followed by 20 cars which are the most of all classes. Apart from BMW, other manufacturers taking part are Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, and McLaren.24H Dubai are the first form of cooperation between BMW and Team WRT who act as BMW racing management operators mainly in GT throughout 2023 and in 2024 participated in the main class of FIA WEC, Hypercar/LMDh.WRT Tea has won 24H Dubai twice in 2016 and 2022, respectively. In 2023 there were two cars. In addition to car number 46, they also included the #7 car with two riders, namely Mohammed Al Saud and Dries Vanthoor. For Sean, 24H Dubai this is a warm-up event before returning to the FIA WEC 2023 still in the LMP2 class.
