BWF World Tour Finals 2022: Apri/Fadia Ganyang Vice Malaysia

JAKARTA women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti successfully won the first match of the 2022 Group B World Tour Finals.

They defeated Malaysian representatives Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan with a score of 23-21 and 21-19 at Nimibutr Arena, Bangkok, Thailand, Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Apri/Fadia could immediately lead 4-1 at the start of the first game. However, they were even three points behind in the interval.

The 2021 SEA Games gold medalist immediately scored two points to cut the gap after the break. They then equalized the score 15-15.

The two pairs took turns scoring numbers after that. After the same strong position 21-21, Apri/Fadia managed to score two consecutive points to win the first game.

In the second game, Apri / Fadia, who lost the first two points, could make a comeback and lead 6-3. They then won two points at halftime.

Apri/Fadia immediately added two points after the interval, but the opponent reduced the score to 12-13. However, Indonesian representatives were still able to keep the gap from winning the second game with a score of 21-19.

After this, several Indonesian representatives will also fight. Among them were the meeting of the two men's singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting against Jonatan Christie.

Then the women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung will also compete against the first seed Chen Yu Fei and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto versus Choi Sol Gyu/Kim Won Ho.

In the mixed doubles Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari against Goh Soon Huat/Lai Shevon Jemie and the men's doubles Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan against Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik.
