Jordi Amat Follows In Sandy Walsh's Traces Can 'Restu' FIFA For Indonesian National Team Defense: I Will Focus On Joining My Country

JAKARTA - The international football federation (FIFA) has officially accepted the transfer of the naturalized player federation Jordi Amat Maas. With that decision, Jordi Amat has been able to play for the Indonesian national team.This certainty was conveyed by FIFA through a letter to PSSI on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. The letter numbered Ref FPSD-2300 was signed by Erika Montemor Ferreira as the FIFA Head of Player's Status. Thus, Jordi is now able to strengthen the national team in the 2022 AFF Cup which will take place next month. "I am happy and relieved by this notification. Now I will focus on defending my country (Indonesia)," said Jordi as quoted from the PSSI website, Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Before getting Indonesian citizenship, Jordi Amat is a Spanish national team player in the age group. He was then naturalized simultaneously with Sandy Walsh.Jordi, 30 years old, who plays as an Indonesian footballer who spent most of his career in Europe before playing for Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT). Now he has received a call from Shin Tae-yong for training camp in Bali preparation for AFF. However, until now he has not joined the Garuda squad. In addition to Jordi, Sandy also joined the list of 28 players who were called to attend the training camp. The inaugural exercise on the Island of the God has started on Monday, November 28 yesterday.
