JAKARTA - The England national team will get a lot of money if they win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the second title since 1966.

In addition to the winner's medal and the championship trophy, England players will earn up to 500 thousand if they win, according to the Daily Mail on Monday.

This is much bigger than the 2018 World Cup, when England reached the semifinals in Russia and the players earned 255,000 US dollars.

The total 13 million incentives that the England national team players will get are because the FA ensures to increase the number of bonuses they get at the 2018 World Cup.

Sunsport revealed last month that manager Gareth Southgate would have bagged a 3 million bonus if he followed Alf Ramsey's lead and England to World Cup glory.

This means that this amount is much greater than Southgate's 3 million salary in the England national team.

The big increase in this bonus brings the England national team closer to their international rivals, who got a much larger winning bonus than the Three Lions in 2018.
