4 Days Towards The 2022 World Cup: Women's Supporters Close To Match Sections? Get Ready To Be Fined Or Prison

JAKARTA The 2022 World Cup tournament is completely different from the previous editions. This cannot be separated from the strict laws in Qatar.

One of them is related to dress code. Female supporters who are determined to appear glamorous in sexy clothes, who show off their shoulders or abdomen, during the 2022 World Cup Qatar can be fined or even imprisoned.

The law does prohibit anyone from wearing open clothes while there. It is clearly a challenge for female supporters from Europe and Latin America who are accustomed to wearing all-open clothes.

Even though they are in hot conditions with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius, they must be very careful about the choice of dress. The reason is, they can face problems in the Muslim country.

FIFA has previously warned that supporters should come in polite clothes because Qatar has stricter rules.

Although non-Qatar women don't need to wear a hijab (long black shirt), their tops have to cover their stomachs and shoulders, and skirts, dresses, and trousers must cover their knees.

Women traveling in Qatar are also prohibited from wearing tight clothes, or showing cleavage. In addition, sleeveless tank tops and t-shirts that read offensive slogans are unacceptable.

"People can generally wear the clothes they choose. Visitors are expected to cover their shoulders and knees while visiting public places such as museums and other government buildings," wrote the official website of the 2022 World Cup, reported by The Sun, Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

"Swimping is allowed at the beach and swimming pool of the hotel. However, fans attending the match must pay attention that releasing a shirt at the stadium is not permitted," the statement continued.

This means male fans must also remember that they will not be able to be shirtless in the stadium even if the air temperature is quite hot.

Male supporters are allowed to wear long cargo pants and light CHino pants. However, they are not allowed to wear jeans, athletic shorts or chino shorts that do not cover their knees.
