UFC Best CO-printer Anthony Johnson Dies After Losing His Toll Against Outbreaks

JAKARTA - Former UFC fighter Anthony Johnson has died at the age of 38. He died after a long struggle against his illness.

During his lifetime, Anthony was known as one of the best KO printers. He also won several wins when facing opponents with high rankings both inside and outside the octagon.

In his heyday, the fighter nicknamed Rumble won a knockout victory against former lightweight heavyweight champions, Glover Teixeira and Alexander Gustafsson.

Quoted from The Sun, it was not clearly stated what illness Anthony suffered until he died. But condolences poured in over the departure of Anthony Johnson.

Many parties also conveyed their last respects. Through his social media account, the American MMA fighter, Michael Chiesa, mourned. He also prayed for the family of the former fighter.

"RIP Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson. One of the most productive KO artists ever in our sport. My prayers to his family and everyone left behind," wrote Chiesa.

Daniel Cormier, a former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight fighter, is also grieving. He said the late Rumble would be missed by many people.

"Look at my brother. For men who cause fear in the hearts of many people, Anthony Johnson is a caring person. He is an extraordinary person, Rumble will be missed. Sometimes life seems unfair. Sad news," he wrote.

UFC commissioner John Gooden added, "The heart is devastated to know the tragic news that Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson has passed away. I have a poster of himself on my desk. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."

Before reported death. Anthony was scheduled to fight for Bellator's light heavyweight title last September, but he withdrew due to his health.

Earlier this year, Anthony Johnson's manager, Ali Abdel Aziz revealed that the client was indeed struggling with his increasingly severe illness.

"Rumble, he's having some health problems right now. It's very sad. I think, I want everyone to pray for him. Pray for Anthony. It's not going well. He's very strong, spiritually. But pray for him," said the manager.
