Anthony Joshua Opponent Filip Hrgovic Will Be Realized If Usyk Do This

JAKARTA - British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua can fight for the world title against Filip Hrgov if Oleksandr Usyk removes his IBF championship belt.

Anthony Joshua previously held IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO titles twice before losing to Usyk last year. The 33-year-old fighter then failed to reclaim his belt in a rematch against the Ukrainian boxer in August.

After that defeat, Joshua continued to look for new opponents. He was initially included in the plan against compatriot Tyson Fury on December 3,

However, the mega fighting ended up being canceled because Joshua did not sign the deal until the deadline given by Fury. However, now news is starting to emerge that there is encouraging possibility for Joshua's title ambition.

It happens if Usyk goes up in the ring against Fury to fight for the WBA, WBC and WBO belts. To be able to duel with Fury, Usyk must hand over the IBF championship belt which is now in his hands.

If this duel is really held, the IBF is predicted to urge Hrgovic to fight Andy Ruiz to win the vacant title. However, this duel is likely to happen little because Ruiz currently wants to compete with Deontay Wilder.

If that fight happens, Joshua will be called up to face Hrgovic to take the IBF crown. However, Ruiz in his latest claim said Joshua also wanted to fight him for their trilogy fight.

"I tried to get the title back. I just spoke to Anthony Joshua, he told me that he wanted to make something happen. He wanted a trilogy duel. It would be really cool," Ruiz said as quoted by The Sun, Monday, November 14.

Andy Ruiz and Joshua met twice in 2019. Joshua lost to TKO at the first meeting at Madison Square Garden, United States (1 June) before replying with a number win at the second meeting at the Diriyah Arena six months later.
