PSG President Al Khelaifi's Super League Sentile Again: Federer And Nadal Never Ask For A Closed League The Contents Are Only The Best Player

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al Khelaifi has again criticized the European Super League project. The Qatari entrepreneur made comparisons with tennis to show that the closed league is not sporty.

On Tuesday, A22, a company promoting the Super League, attended a meeting at UEFA headquarters with Al Khelaifi in its capacity as president of the European Club Association, as well as UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, La Liga president Javier Tebas and many other senior representatives from ECA, fan group and FIFPRO.

The report from the meeting shows that criticism never ends for A22 and the Super League. Then, at the UEFA convention on Wednesday, the PSG president took the opportunity to convey several messages to A22.

"Unfortunately, as we saw yesterday at our meeting with A22, it will probably be an A23 or A24, a new brand every year, some people continue to try to rewrite history and share football with PR and power-point presentations," Al Khelaifi said as quoted by Marca, Thursday.

"To be honest, I feel sad for them because yesterday they showed that they don't understand football and its ecosystem."

Khelaifi then compared football with tennis. In this case, the existence of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer did not necessarily create certain parties to create exclusive tournaments that were only filled with the best players.

"It's not because they play together all the time. It's because they work very hard. Every game is important, whatever the ranking they play," explained Khelaifi.
