Iwan Bule 'Jualan' In Front Of Commission III Of The DPR, Shayne Pattynama's Naturalization Process Continued

JAKARTA - Commission III of the House of Representatives approved the naturalization process of Shayne Pattynama to continue. This approval was decided at a Working Meeting held with Menpora Zainudin Amali, PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan, and Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights, Prof. Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, at Nusantara II Building, Wednesday, November 9.

During the meeting, the chairman of PSSI successfully convinced members of Commission III of the DPR to be able to provide the "green light" so that the naturalization process for the prospective Indonesian national team players was continued.

Iwan Bule, Iriawan's nickname, explained that the naturalization process for Shayne Pattynama was at the request of coach Shin Tae-yong. He said there was a need in the sector behind the Indonesian national team.

"Now the age of 24 means that the person concerned can still play at least 10 years away to back up our national team," said Iriawan at the meeting, as quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Shayne, who was born in Lelystad, Netherlands on August 11, 1998, currently plays for Norwegian clubWAy FK. The player is also noted to have also practiced at the Ajax and Utrecht academies.

The prospective Indonesian national team player has received an award in the U-17 League with the Utrecht academy team.

Shayne got Indonesian blood from her father. It is known that his father was a descendant of Maluku who was born in Semarang.

"The person concerned has Indonesian blood from Maluku, his father was born in the city of Semarang, Central Java. The line is directly from father to son," said Iwan Bule.

Meanwhile, Menpora Zainudin Amali reiterated Shayne's naturalization to meet short-term needs. He reminded PSSI to continue to prioritize the development of young domestic athletes.

"We still rely on coaching because our talents are not lacking, the academies at these clubs also provide guidance," said the Menpora.

"So we don't rely on naturalization. Naturalization is short-term," said the man from Gorontalo.
