JAKARTA Former world champion fifth division Floyd Mayweather plans to hold more exhibition fights next year. One of them is appearing in England in February 2023.

The former 45-year-old fighter has had four exhibition duels since retiring in 2017. He will also undergo his fifth exhibition fight next week against Youtuber Deji in Dubai.

For next year's plan, Mayweather is also in discussions with promotional partners, Keane Anis and Global Titans. This discussion was mainly for the fight that was planned to be held in February in the UK.

"The February we are waiting for a fight comes [to England] and holds exhibitions for fans in England," Mayweather said, reported by Boxing Scene, Monday, November 7, 2022.

After retiring, Mayweather began his first exhibition duel in December 2018. At that time he traveled to Japan to beat Tenshin Nasukawa in one round. It was Mayweather's first fight abroad.

He then held his next exhibition fight in June 2021. At that time, the boxer who had a 50-0 win-loss record challenged Logan Paul in Florida.

He then underwent two exhibitions this year. First he fought sparring his partner Don Moore in Abu Dhabi last May before traveling to Japan to stop MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in two rounds in September.

"Because I've never come here [to England] and really fight here when I'm active boxing. Hopefully, in February we can come here and hold exhibitions whenever possible," he said.

Mayweather is also in a rematch plan with Manny Picquiao next year. The two are rumored to be in the ring in Las Vegas for the first time since Mayweather won points over Pacquiao 2015.
