Neymar Bela Antony After Being Criticized For Being Considered Most Of The Styles

JAKARTA - Neymar Jr. defended his compatriot Antony, who harvested blasphemy for showing off his skills when Manchester United hosted Sheriff Tiraspol, early Friday, October 28 local time.

Football observers and fans have criticized the 22-year-old after he carried out a 360-degree spin drag-back movement or circling the ball, which became his trademark.

The action was carried out by Antony when both teams had not scored a goal in the match which then ended with 3-0 for the hosts' victory.

This is what makes two former Red Devils players, namely Paul Schholes and Robbie Savage, angry. They considered that such a scarcity show should not have been necessary for Antony.

This situation made Neymar act by sending support to his teammate in the Brazilian national team through an Instagram social media post. The Paris Saint-Germain star even encouraged Antony to continue to express himself.

"Continue, don't change anything! Don't worry about showing that skill, boy! Be brave and cheerful," Neymar wrote on Instagram Stories to complete his post which shows Antony showing off his skills.

Apart from Neymar, Antony's teammate at MU, Fred, also provided support. According to him, such an ability is not new because Brazilian players are very synonymous with playing arts on the field.

"It's so annoying they say that. I think such skills start from us Brazilians. Brazilians have quality in their blood. It's always been like that since Pele," he said.

"So I think people should understand this aspect we have. So it doesn't offend anyone whatever he's doing. Of course, if it offends, we'll come to him in the dressing room and talk," added Fred.

Antony himself has also responded to the criticism he received. In uploads on Instagram, he insists that he will not stop showing off his abilities.
