Australian Moto3: Mario Aji Likes The Philipp Island Circuit

JAKARTA - The 2022 Moto3 race will continue at the Phillip Island Circuit, Australia, 14-16 October 2022. For Indonesian racer, Mario Aji, this is the first experience trying out this circuit.

The Honda Team Asia racer admits that he is blind to the character of Circuit Phillip Island. However, he said, most riders also faced the same problem.

"Say doesn't know Phillip Island, like many other riders in this category, because they haven't raced here since 2019," Mario Aji said in a written statement.

"This should be an advantage, because there will be many of us starting with the same experience."

The racer from Magetan said that the race will depend on the ability of the riders to adapt to the track and also the weather conditions. According to him, this is usually very difficult to do.

"However, I am happy to be here and be able to race on this beautiful stage," said Mario Aji.

Meanwhile, Honda Team Asia Manager, Hiroshi Aoyama, describes Phillip Island Circuit as a track that has a fast character, there are even several high-speed bends.

The circuit layout is also very demanding and often windy.

"Our riders don't have much experience on this track. That means we've been looking forward to a difficult weekend," said Aoyama.

"However, this is the situation. We'll see how the weather is. If it's stable, it will help us," he continued.
