JAKARTA - Indonesian racers made extraordinary results in the first race of the Asia Production 250 (AP250) Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2022 series Malaysia.

In the race which took place at the Sepang Circuit, Saturday, October 8, the winning podium was controlled by the Red and White riders.

Astra Honda Racing Team racer Adenanta Putra won. He became the first driver to touch the finish line.

This is Adenanta's second win of the season. Previously he won the second AP250 ARRC 2022 series Japan.

Adenanta defeated compatriot Aldi Satya Mahendra. The Yamaha Racing Indonesia racer is 0.273 seconds adrift of Adenanta.

Adenanta's teammate, Herjun Atna Firdaus, completed All Indonesian Podium in Sepang. He finished third with a difference of 0.509 seconds from Adenanta.

Two other Indonesian racers, Rheza Dania Ahrens (Astra Honda Racing Team) and Anggi Setiawan (Yamaha Racing Team) completed the top five positions.

Meanwhile, the leader of the standings, Andy Muhammad Fadly, had to settle for finishing in sixth place with a fairly far difference from the winner, which was 3,791 seconds.

However, AM Fadly still tops the standings with 111 points. He is 19 points ahead of Rheza Dania. While the third position is occupied by Aldi Satya who has now collected 80 points.

The second race of the 2022 AP250 ARRC series Malaysia will take place on Sunday, October 9.
