JAKARTA - Liverpool vs Rangers' match in the Champions League was marked by clashes between spectators after the match. As a result, seven people were arrested by the police for being caught drunk.

Quoted from the Daily Mail, Thursday, Liverpool won 2-0 from Rangers at Anfield Stadium. But, after the match, there was a commotion because a number of people were drunk. These people were identified as Rangers supporters.

Following up on the riots, local police checked CCTV to identify the suspect.

The Merseyside Police will not tolerate any form of unrest and work to identify and prosecute anyone found responsible for this crime. Officers teamed up with Liverpool Football club to get CCTV footage and identify a possible suspect, said a local police spokesman.

Sources said the commotion had heated up before the game started. A number of people from the Rangers camp carried out vandalism and the incident was reported to the authorities.

We can confirm that we are investigating offensive graffiti at Anfield and three damaged murals in the area. The offensive graffiti report was received around 9 am, Tuesday 4 October at Randolph Street before tonight's Liverpool vs Rangers FC match," the statement continued.

Despite the off-field incident, Liverpool vs Rangers' match went smoothly. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah respectively scored two goals.

Thanks to that victory, Liverpool now have six points in second place in the Champions League Group A standings. While Rangers slumped at the bottom of the standings without points.
