JAKARTA - The Indonesian national amputation soccer team lost their second win at the 2022 Amputation World Cup after losing 0-3 to England in the preliminary round of Group C in Turkiye Futbol Federico Riva, Istanbul, Turkey, Sunday local time.

The Indonesian amputation soccer national team or commonly called Garuda INAF also previously lost 0-3 to Argentina in the first match which took place on Saturday (1/10).

This result made Indonesia even worse by ranking last in Group C of the 2022 Amputation World Cup.

In the second match on Sunday night, it didn't take long for England to break into Indonesia's goal. The England's first goal was made by Jamie Tregaskiss who took a long-range shot from the left wing which Junaedi Abdillah's goalkeeper failed to block in the 2nd minute.

The English players continued to press and even threatened the Indonesian goal several times, even until the first half was over, but the ball was always managed to be parried by goalkeeper Junaedi.

The UK was only able to add points on the scoreboard when Ryce Ramsen stole the ball from Indonesian defenders in the penalty box area to score the second goal in the 35th minute.

In the extra time round, precisely in the 52nd minute, England broke into Indonesia's goal again after Terence Yates received a cross which was easily struck past the Indonesian defender to score the closing goal just before the long whistle sounded.

The Indonesian amputation soccer national team will not rest too long because they will face the United States directly in the last match of Group C elimination, on Monday.

Indonesia targets to be able to penetrate the top eight of the 2022 Amputation World Cup which is attended by 24 countries.
