MotoGP Announces The Temporary Season 2023, The Indonesian Grand Prix Becomes The 16th Series

JAKARTA The MotoGP Grand Prix Indonesia 2023 season is in the 16th series in the interim calendar which was just released by Dorna Sport on Friday, September 30, 2022.

Next year's race will create the most series in Grand Prix history after Kazakhstan and India are also hosting. A total of 21 series will take place in 19 countries.

The competition will start on March 24 in Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal. The race then continued to Termas de Rio Hondo, Argentina and Austin, Texas, America.

The race in Argentina will take place from March 31 to April 2. Meanwhile, Austin will be held from April 14 to 16.

After the Americas, the race returned to Europe from April to June. The series in a row in Europe started from Jerez (Spain), Le Mans (France), Mugello (Italy), Sachsenring (Germany), and Assen (Netherlands).

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan will debut to host in July ahead of its second break in the middle of the season. The race in the Central Asian country will take place at the Sokol International Racetrack.

Kazakhstan has become the 30th country to host a motorcycle Grand Prix since the MotoGP era began in 1949. The Sokol Circuit is the 74th track in history to host a first-class race.

After returning from Asia, the race returned to Europe in August for the British and Austrian Grand Prix. The series then continued to Catalan at the Circuit de Barcelona-Calatu in September.

After that, India will make history of their debut as hosts at the Buddh International Circuit. This former Formula 1 track also became the 75th place to hold the MotoGP race.

The Japanese and Indonesian series will take place after that, following Australia, Thailand, and Malaysia. Qatar held the 20th series before the season-ending series in Valencia.
