YOGYAKARTA Mario Suryo Aji made Indonesia proud from the Moto3 event. He reaped the spotlight after making satisfactory results in several Moto3 events held in Indonesia and in several countries. Then, who is he really?

The best Moto3 driver predicate from Indonesia is very attached to the name Suryo Aji. He was born in Magetan, East Java on March 16, 2004. He started to be interested in motorcycles since he was 5 years old. However, he started his racing career not on the asphalt road but on the off-road with a motocross track. He also briefly competed in the National Motocross Championships in Indonesia at the age of 10.

But in 2014 he decided to enter the highway motorcycle race to become a MotoGP rider. Suryo's hard work and talent were able to attract the attention of Honda Racing School.

He was included in several racing competitions such as in the 2017 Thailand Talent Cup. Not only that, he is also trusted to advance to the Asia Talent Cup of the Road Race Asia Championships. From this event he won his first victory in Sepang, Malaysia.

Not only good at home, Suryo Aji also managed to show his best performance in the Italian Moto3 race which was held at the Mugello Circuit in May 2022. At that time he started in 23th position but managed to finish in 13th position. The success was not a joke because it made him manage to pocket three points from the Italian Moto3 race. Now he has pocketed a total of five points from the 2022 Moto3 event.

Mario Suryo's achievements made him continue to be trusted by Honda Team Asia to play the 2023 season later. The Japanese team did not make changes to Mario Suryo. He plans to tandem with Japanese racer Taiyo Furusato in Moto3 2023.
