JAKARTA The 2022 Indonesian Volleyball League (Livoli) competition will be attended by 58 teams. This number summarizes two divisions consisting of 16 each for the Main Division and 42 for Division One.

Livoli officially started from Division One or National Championships (Kejurnas) of the Club on September 25 to October 2 in Debes, Tabanan, Bali. Following that, the Main Division was held in three different locations between October 11 and November 13.

"So far, 99 percent of the preparations have been said," said Chairman III for the Competition and Competition of PP PBSVI Hanny S. Surkatty in Jakarta in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 21.

"What makes the difference now and then is because this is the end of COVID-19. So, you have to be more careful, obey health protocols. That's all. In addition, everything went smoothly," he continued.

Division One will later be followed by 23 men's teams and 19 women's teams from 16 provinces. Initially, a team from 18 provinces participated, but Papua and North Sulawesi withdrew.

Meanwhile, the Livoli of the Main Division will be attended by 16 teams, eight men's teams and eight women's teams each. The Main Division will be held in Banyuwangi, Solo, and Magetan.

Details of the schedule of the Main Division are divided into three terms, namely the regular round of 11-16 October (Banyuwangi), the regular round of 18-23 October (Solo), the final of November 4-10 (Magetan), and the final of November 12-13 (Magetan).

"For the prize, it's actually coaching money. A total of Rp. 500 million and there is a subsidy for the first division of Rp. 10 million and for the regular main division it is Rp. 15 million and for the final four and the final is Rp. 25 million/club," said Hanny.

"So the difference is quite large compared to before. In the past there was no subsidy and the prize was only Rp. 200 million," he added.

This is the first time Livoli has been held again since 2019. During the last two years, the event was vacuumed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
