JAKARTA - Repsol Honda racer, Marc Marquez admitted that there was a feeling of hesitation that arose against Fabio Quartararo ahead of Japan's MotoGP, the weekend. Marquez still seems guilty of the accident involving the two in MotoGP Aragon, last Sunday. Marquez and Yamaha's driver failed to finish after being involved in the incident in Tikungan for the first 3 laps.

Quartararo, who was on fire chasing the title, had to lose 20 points after hitting the back of Marquez's motorbike which lost balance on the first lap.

Marquez himself has apologized to Quartararo and Takaaki Nakagami who were also involved in the incident with him in Aragon. However, he pleaded more guilty to Quartararo.

"I feel really bad, I hope they both Quartararo and Nakagami are okay," Marquez said as quoted by Marca.

I feel worse for what happened to Quartararo than Nakagami, because he is competing in the race for the world champion and I know what it feels like. I know the feeling of losing the race due to touch with other racers," he continued.

With that feeling, Marquez took the time to personally meet Quartararo to apologize. The six-time MotoGP world champion then felt happy and relieved that Quartararo could understand the incident that occurred in Aragon.

"We took risks on the first lap and these things could happen. This is part of a racing incident. I'm happy Quartararo understands it," Marquez said.

"It's not that I want to move or cut the lane. My motorbike was lifted slightly, that's where we made contact because he plans to overtake at the next corner," he continued.

Marquez remains confident Quartararo will continue to be on the right track. Marquez believes that the rider who has a MotoGP defending title will still be able to continue his competition with Francesco Bagnaia, who is now only 10 points away.

"I hope his mentality is maintained, because I believe he can fight until the end," closed Marquez.
