JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team is in danger of not being able to strengthen the mainstay goalkeeper Cahya Supriadi in the final match of Group F of the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium on Sunday, September 18.

Cahya is doubtful that she appeared because she was still undergoing treatment at Mitra Hospital Surabaya following a collision incident with her colleague, Rahmat Beri Santoso, in the match against Hong Kong on Friday, September 16 evening.

PSSI in the latest statement confirmed Cahya is in a stable condition. However, the chances of playing tomorrow are very small.

"After observing, then CT Scan examination and photo X-rays on the head, as well as being consulted with a neurologist, the results showed Cahya was in good condition. Cahya is currently conscious and stable," said PSSI doctor Syarif Alwi.

Cahya collided with Rahmat in the 59th minute when the kick was free. Cahya was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance. Cahya's condition was getting better until this Saturday afternoon. He has even been able to do light activities since Saturday morning.

"We carried out the magnetic resonance Imaging (MRI) process. After the MRI returned to the observation room, after the results came out and were analyzed, this afternoon we were able to move to the treatment room," said Syarif.

The duel between Indonesia and Vietnam tomorrow will determine the group winners who automatically qualify for next year's finals. Currently, Indonesia occupies the top position in the group standings with a collection of six points, following Vietnam in second place with the same points.

Both teams need a win to automatically qualify for the group stage. Meanwhile, runner-up positions will compete with runners-up from nine other groups to secure five tickets as the best runner-up team.
