This Makes Graham Potter Want To Sit In The Chelsea Hot Seat

JAKARTA - Graham Potter has officially become Chelsea's manager. He replaced the position of the sacked Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel continued Chelsea's tradition of throwing managers because they were deemed to have failed at the start of the season. Now, Potter is sitting in a hot chair.

The question arises, why does Potter finally want to accept this tough task? The England manager said the boss's vision, Todd Boehly was the answer.

He admitted that he was impressed by the vision shown by the new London-based club owner. Brighton and Hove Albion's former manager emphasized that this is the beginning of a "very interesting period" for the Blues.

"It's a start to a very interesting period, I think," Potter said in an interview to the club's official website. "I spoke to a new owner who made me very, very excited and impressed."

"First, I was impressed with his personality and then the vision for the club and what he wanted to do. Of course, the club's history is unquestionable, but it's about trying to figure it out again in our own way," he continued as reported by Antara.

The 47-year-old said his move to the six-time British champion was a step forward in his career.

"It's nice to be able to take the next step and be able to work with a group of interesting players that we have here," Potter said.

"And to compete at the top and try and create a winning team, that was a fantastic opportunity for me," he said again.

Chelsea spent about £250 million (Rp4.34 trillion) in the summer transfer market, but came to sixth place in the Premier League after six games.
