Indonesian Women's Volleyball Team Bidik Titel Champions In Thailand's ASEAN Grand Prix Invitation Tournament

JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's volleyball team will take part in the ASEAN Grand Prix entertainment tournament at Nakhon Rachasima, Thailand, September 9-11, 2022. This tournament was attended by four countries, namely Vietnan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the host Thailand.

The majority of the Indonesian women's volleyball team will be strengthened by players who will compete in the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi. There are three new faces, namely Hany Budiarti, Yulis Indahyani, and Mediol Stiovanny Yoku.

"I don't know whether our opposing candidate teams will be strengthened by the national team that participated in the last Vietnam SEA Games. If so, I still dare to target the champions," said team manager, Rega Pahalla's younger brother, in a written statement.

"With the addition of the three players, I am sure our strength will increase," he added.

In addition to being strengthened by the majority of the SEA Games players, this team was also accompanied by coach Alim Suseno. He was accompanied by assistants Hali Juhali and Dede Muhammad Syifaudin and Masseur Rovi Sahliwandari.

"At least we can enter the final," said Alim Suseno.

Alim Suseno admitted that he did not know the strength of his potential opponent in Thailand later. "But on average it is the same as the one who took part in the last Vietnam SEA Games," he said.
