JAKARTA - Napoli officially announced the transfer of Giacomo Raspadori on loan from Sassuolo on Sunday, AFP reported on Sunday, August 21.

In an official statement, Napoli admitted to having loaned the 22-year-old Italy international "on loan and on a permanent basis" next season.

Napoli did not reveal details of the deal, but according to Italian media reports, the two clubs agreed a loan fee of five million euros (Rp 74.6 billion).

Napoli are also required to pay 25 million euros (Rp373 billion) over three years after the player makes a permanent move next summer.

Raspadori played 13 times and scored three goals for the Italian national team, including the squad that won the 2020 European Cup.

Raspadori is one of three signings for the club this week following Giovanni Simeone on loan from Verona and Tanguy Ndombele on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

This transfer is considered an effort by the club to restore the enthusiasm of Napoli supporters after the departure of several favorite players such as Kalidou Koulibaly, Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens.

Napoli are also expected to sign goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Paris Saint-Germain.
