Oleksandr Usyk Looks Like A Cyborg Ahead Of Anthony Joshua

JAKARTA - The rematch of Oleksandr Usyk versus Anthony Joshua will be held this weekend. Ahead of the dule, Usyk's latest appearance looks like a cyborg.

Usyk hailing from Ukraine has spent the year out of the ring. He joined the military to help his country from the Russian invasion.

Usyk's promoter, Alex Krassyuk said that Usyk's hard experience had made him determined to appear stronger than before. The 35-year-old is also very much ready for the rematch against Joshua.

"We watched the video of him (Oleksandr Usyk) that was recently posted and realized he looks like a cyborg," Karssyuk was quoted as saying by The Sun, Wednesday.

“He went through hell in the last three months. And it didn't kill him but made him stronger. I've never seen him more determined than he is now."

"There aren't too many champions in the world who can share their experiences through war and reach the ring to defend the heavyweight crown. It's a very complicated task. But he (Usyk) seems to have got it right," explained the promoter.

Usyk's significant change could not be separated from his determination to defend his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight world titles when he raised the flag for Ukraine.

Furthermore, Krassyuk also revealed that Usyk received full support from Ukrainian civilians and the military to hold a rematch against Joshua. The reason is, this moment could be an opportunity for Usyk to show the best of what the country has to offer.

"He (Oleksandr Usyk) made the decision to have a rematch in this situation after he received great support from the Ukrainian military," Krassyuk said.

"He's in touch with high-ranking officers, he visits hospitals with injured combatants, he talks to fans and in every conversation he hears words of support and blessings for a rematch."

"People want him to fight. People want him to win. They all want the Ukrainian flag to be flown and the Ukrainian national anthem to be heard all over the planet.

“The whole world should know that Ukraine is a country of free, transparent, strong, spiritual and developed people. Not too many men are capable of conveying these messages. Usyk is considered to be able to do it through sports," continued Krassyuk

"Let history judge how special he is."

On the other hand, Usyk also received support from Mike Tyson. The world boxing legend believes Usyk's speed and jab will cause Joshua problems in Saudi Arabia.

Fury also expects Usyk to win again in the rematch. Because Fury considered Usyk 'too good a boxer' for Joshua, who lacked the ability to press for 12 rounds.
