5 Referees And 3 Assistant Referees 'Silted' By PSSI, Commitment To Fixing The Performance Of The Field Courts

JAKARTA - The PSSI Referee Committee rested 12 matches related to performance. There were five referees who were "laid off" by the national football parent.

In addition, the Referee Committee also rested three assistant referees and four additional assistant referees. They are marginalized for 2-3 months.

On its official website, PSSI revealed that this step was a form of punishment because it was considered not to carry out its duties properly.

PSSI did not specify the names of the rested referees. However, there is news that says, one of them is the match equipment that led the PSM Makassar party against Persija Jakarta, last Friday 5 August.

"PSSI continues to be committed to fixing referees, be it referees in League 1, 2, and 3. We also continue to evaluate and supervise as long as they lead," said Chairman of the Refereeing Committee, Ahmad Riyadh.

He hopes that this punishment can set an example for all the referees on duty. They are asked to be able to carry out their duties well while minimizing errors in the field.

To make the referee's performance better, PSSI has also refreshed the referee appraisers who are on duty in the 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1 League. This refresher was carried out in Yogyakarta, August 8-11 yesterday.

The referee judges received a direct explanation from the AFC instructor, namely Mohammad Rodzali from Malaysia. The PSSI referee appraiser refresher this time was attended by a total of 48 participants.

On this occasion, PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi emphasized that his party would always monitor the performance of the field judges. Either through television or social media.

"If it is found that there are irregularities or mistakes in decision-making throughout the match, I make sure the Referee Committee will immediately take firm action," said the PSSI Secretary General.
