JAKARTA - The only thing left for Conor McGregor to do is appear on the big screen, and he will do so in the remake of Road House that airs on Amazon Prime Video.
The film, which originally aired in the 1980s, will star Jake Gyllenhaal. He plays a former MMA fighter who takes a new job as a bouncer at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys.
While it's unclear what McGregor's role will be, the Irishman will have a big role in the film which will start shooting next month.
"Fighting icon Conor McGregor is expanding his career into film to join Jake Gyllenhaal in this reimagining of the beloved classic, Road House," Amazon Studios confirmed in a post on Twitter.

Hollywood has been teasing McGregor for years, but the right project never came. Deadline reports that when the opportunity to join the Road House presented itself, he showed no hesitation in saying yes.
Although McGregor has appeared in commercials for several companies, this will be his first attempt at feature film.
This remake of the classic was announced in 2021 and developed by MGM. But Amazon Studios took over the project.
