JAKARTA - UFC president Dana White advised youtuber Jake Paul to hire some new advisors after his fight against Hasim Rahman Jr was cancelled.

Originally, Paul was due to fight Rahman Jr at Madison Square Garden on August 6, where the 31-year-old was named as a replacement for the banned Tommy Fury from the United States.

Following the news of the cancellation, White took aim at Paul's manager, Nakisa Bidarian, who previously worked as UFC's Chief Financial Officer.

"I'm not going to sit here and be happy and laugh that their fight failed," White said after UFC 277 was quoted by the Daily Star on Tuesday.

"I mean those two guys [Paul and Rahman Jr], I'm sure doing a lot of hard work, a lot of training to get ready for this fight and spending money to get ready for this fight.

"But I'm going to say this, just because you [Bidarian] are an accountant here, doesn't mean you know what's going on here and doesn't mean you can run a fight promotion company. I think Jake Paul might need to get a few different people. around it.

"If he wants to stay in this sport, he has to be with people who really know how to fight."

White also suggested that poor ticket sales were the real reason why the fight was cancelled.

"I think they sold tickets for under $1 million and it cost $500,000 to put the lights on at MSG," White added. "That's what I thought."
