SOLO - Indonesian female runner, Ni Made Arianti, won a gold medal in the T12 100 meter number in the athletics of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games, Monday, August 1. He became the fastest to touch the finish line with a time of 13.7 seconds.

Arianti beat Thai athlete Pornpansa Suwanmahawong, who finished second. Meanwhile, another Indonesian representative, Amalia Nilam Tiara, took third place.

Arianti admitted that he was nervous before performing. He had doubts because his leg was not fully fit after the injury.

"I'm not in the best condition because my legs aren't fit yet and this is my first time running here with a guide and it turns out I can," he said, as quoted by Antara.

Arianti said that his success could not be separated from the role of Bayu, the guide who accompanied him. He said Bayu was a person who always motivated and encouraged him during the preparation period.

He also feels compatible with Bayu because he has the same habit. "So if there's anything I ask for help from Mas Bayu, for example, when he is doing technical training, he is the one who helps and guides me," he said.

While Bayu admitted, he really had to pay attention to athletes. This treatment is to make the athlete feel comfortable in practicing and competing.

"As a guide, my job is to help. If I practice or what I want, I'll help. So I feel like I'm being cared for. Then athletes can feel better," said Bayu to Antara.
