SOLO - Chairman of the Indonesia ASEAN Para Games Organizing Committee (INASPOC) Gibran Rakabuming Raka is optimistic that Indonesia will be flooded with gold on the third day of the disability special championship after opening the golden faucet from badminton on the second day.

Competing at UMS Edutorium, Sukoharjo, Central Java, the men's team badminton team succeeded in extending the golden tradition after in the final match defeating the Thai team with a landslide score of 3-0.

"This is extraordinary, tomorrow the gold will be even more. Moreover, tomorrow there will be many medal opportunities at other venues," said Gibran after winning the medal in badminton as reported by Antara, Sunday, July 31.

In both implementations of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games, several sports will be competed. In addition to badminton, there is a continuation of 3x3 wheelchair basketball, table tennis, CP football, sitting volleyball, boccia, chess to wheelchair tennis.

3X3 wheelchair basketball finally succeeded in presenting a bronze medal for the Indonesian contingent after defeating Cambodia with a score of 9-5. It's just that the awarding of medals or the Winners Honor Ceremony (UPP) has not officially been carried out.

The same goes for table tennis. On the first day of the match, the Indonesian team succeeded in contributing at least five gold and three silver. It's just that the results have not been officially recorded because the UPP has not done it.

"Indonesia itself got five gold (table tennis), but the UPP is tomorrow, Monday (1/8), so it is not yet valid to be counted," said INASPOC Secretary General Rima Ferdianto.

Table tennis certainly still has the opportunity to add medals because there are still many numbers being contested. In addition, there are athletics and swimming which are predicted to contribute a lot of medals to the Indonesian contingent.

Athletics will take place at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, while swimming at the GOR Jatidiri Swimming Pool, Semarang, Monday, August 1.
