Rumors Appear Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Will Buy WWE

JAKARTA - Over the past few months, there have been rumors about the possibility of WWE changing ownership.

Although the wrestling company managed by Vince McMahon is not for sale, many investors are attracted to it because of the profits they will get.

One name associated with a potential WWE takeover is former professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, The Rock could be one of the partners interested in acquiring the wrestling brand in the future.

"The two names that come up in a lot of questions as far as they are selling are Tony Khan and Dwayne Johnson," Meltzer said.

"Both are very interesting [name]. Of course, Nick Khan and Dwayne Johnson have a relationship, their story is childhood friends in Hawaii when they were both very young.

"[Nick Khan's] younger sister is the host for the television show Dwayne, so whatever relationship they had before, the fact is they know each other.

"Dwayne himself doesn't have the money to buy WWE, nor does anyone else, but can he get in there and raise some capital? Can they all work together and buy this company together? That's a very interesting possibility.

"Dwayne loves pro wrestling, it's his family business, and his daughter is now in it.

"It's not some weird fantasy, it's really something that can last."
