Get The Green Light From The Government, Liga 1 2022/2023 Will Run Normally As Before The COVID-19 Pandemic Starting July 23

JAKARTA - The government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), gave permission to PSSI to hold the 2022/2023 Liga 1 competition according to the planned schedule. This means that the highest competition in national football will start on 23 July.

This permit was granted after the Kemenpora held a coordination meeting with PSSI, PT Liga Indonesia Baru, the Ministry of Health, the COVID-19 Task Force and the National Police at the Kemenpora Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19.

"We hope that this competition will get better," said Menpora Zainudin Amali, as quoted by Antara.

Menpora then asked PSSI and PT LIB to really prepare for this season's League 1 competition carefully. Health protocols must be a major concern considering that COVID-19 cases are now starting to creep up.

Moreover, Liga 1 2022/2023 will run normally as before the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to being held home and away, the match also took place with spectators.

The Minister of Youth and Sports asked that all parties must comply with all regulations and be committed to making the match run smoothly and orderly.

"Because now there is an audience," said the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Meanwhile, the Head of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, said that the general police would issue a crowd permit. The number of spectators present at the stadium will also be adjusted.

"Later on, the presence of the audience will be adjusted to the PPKM level in the local area," said Iriawan.
