After Joining The Hot Poses On The Hooters Calendar, UFC Star Michelle Waterson Gets An Adorable Nickname

JAKARTA - MMA lovers, especially UFC, certainly know the figure of Michelle Waterson. This beautiful and sexy fighter is nicknamed 'Karate Hottie'.

The nickname was obtained not from his ferocity in the octagon, but from shooting the Hooters calendar.

Before Waterson established herself as one of the most dangerous women in the atomweight and flyweight divisions, the 34-year-old was serving tables and drinks at the controversial restaurant chain Hooters.

In a podcast, he explains how he got the nickname. A nickname that stuck with him throughout his career in MMA.

"I went to the location for a calendar shoot. (It was in) the Virgin Islands. That was the coolest thing. We were in the Virgin Islands, I met a guy named Howie and he owns a company called Bikini.com. He talked to me. and knowing I was doing Karate," Michelle said.

"She said 'I want to feature you on my website' and on her website she features different girls every month. She said 'we can give you a Karate Hottie theme and we can hit a bikini and a karate punch and it will happened, it's incredible'," he continued.

Michelle then explained, the promoter first asked for her stage name. At that time, he replied that he did not have one. "He then googled me and that's what came up," he said.

Karate Kittie's name is now starting to be rarely heard. He is no longer in the octagon after his last defeat in May 2021. He seems to have experienced a period of frustration after losing to Marina Rodriguez, Carla Esparza and Joanne Jedrzejczyk.

However, Michelle Waterson is ready to get back into the fight to prove herself. She will face Amanda Lemos at UFC Fight Night in New York on Saturday, July 16. All viewers will probably be very surprised to hear the persona of Karate Hottie.
