First Points In F1, Here's What Michael Schumacher's Son Says: Something We've Been Aiming For For A Time

JAKARTA - The son of Formula 1 (F1) legend Michael Schumacher, Mick Schumacher, has made history in his career. He won his first point in the land jet racing event.

Mick Schumacher gets four points after finishing eighth in the F1 British GP race, Sunday, July 3. The results are believed to reduce the pressure felt by the son of the holder of seven F1 titles.

Understandably, big hopes are on the shoulders of Mick Schumacher. The Haas racer is expected to be as successful as his father, Michael Schumacher.

If Michael is able to score his first points in two races, Mick has only managed to do it on the 31st chance.

"It's great to score points, in the sense that we have now passed Aston Martin in the constructors which is something great, something we have been aiming for for a while," Mick said.

"Now we are just trying little by little to get more points than the others."

In fact, Mick had come close to breaking the deadlock several times. Like at the Miami GP in May. Unfortunately, he had an incident that forced him to end the race.

At the Canadian GP, last June 19, he also had the opportunity to end the fast points in F1. However, Mich Schumacher again failed to finish the race because of problems with his car.
