Join JDT, Jordi Becomes The Most Expensive Player Of The Malaysian League With A Contract Value Of IDR 15 Billion!

JAKARTA - Jordi Amat's move to Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), recorded a Malaysian League transfer record. The candidate for naturalization of the Indonesian national team is now the most expensive player in the neighboring country.

Jordi Amat broke the record previously held by Fernando Forestieri, a JDT player who was brought in from the Southern Tigers with a dowry of 4.02 million ringgit (approximately Rp13 billion).

Reported by Berita Harian, Jordi Amat was brought in by JDT with a contract value of 4.6 million ringgit (equivalent to Rp. 15 billion). This value was obtained from the Malaysian media from the transfermarkt.com site which is often a reference for player transfers and contract values.

The presence of Jordi Amat with the highest transfer value further confirmed JDT's status as a rich club in Malaysia. So far, they are known to like to bring in high-paid players.

Before Jordi Amat and Forestieri, there were also Gonzalo Cabrera (2.93 million ringgit), Jonathan Herrera (5.96 million ringgit) and Diogo Santos (4.8 million ringgit).

Seeing Jordi Amat's status, the agent of an experienced player in Malaysia, Effendi Jagan Abdullah, said that it was not a surprise. Given the myriad of experience the 30-year-old has in Europe.

Instead, he supported JDT's policy of bringing in Jordi Amat. The reason is, this can increase the prestige of the Malaysian League in the eyes of the world.

"This is a wise move from JDT because it indirectly raises the name of the club and also the Malaysian League, where many world players are curious about Malaysia and also JDT," said Effendi as reported by Berita Harian.

"When many famous players want to come here, outside sponsors will also increase and start looking for opportunities to become sponsors. So I hope, clubs other than JDT must move professionally like them so that our league continues to grow into a big industry," he continued.
